at Sea lots of
presentations Mike Fogg’s ‘Footprints on
a Forgotten Land’ a tumultuous tale of conquest and discovery, betrayal,
bloodshed, bungled expeditions, calamitous and courageous cattle drives. Lectures
with Harry Christensen ‘The declassified Truth’ the shameful part Australian government (
lead by John Howard) played in East
Timor.
Tours of the ship, Captain Mike Taylor showed us the bridge
and Executive Chef Yannick the kitchen galley tiny and very hot for the number
of meals they had to cook.

Day of utter despair disembarkation; I had to leave the
Orion and only have photos and memory of
my magical time.

Caught the flu on the flight home and arrived into a cold
raining winter Sydney day.
