The first day of 2013

| To Do List for every day of 2013 |
The first day of 2013
I no longer announce my New Year’s resolutions & make declarations I am unable to keep, now I vaguely suggest things that would be nice if they happened sort of fantasising on the future year, an elusive daydream. I ask myself questions that I hope will elicit some focus or just good advice to live by.
What do I want to
focus on this year ?
- Routine, because I need it to structure my day to day life.
- Yoga, because I love it and it makes me feel all the cell in my body sing.
- Meditation, because it gives me tranquillity and understanding.
- Drawing, because it transports me into another dimension of quitness.
- Walking more, because I will loses it, if I don't use it.
- Cooking, I find it exciting and creative.
What do I want to do
in 2013 ?
Travel ~ Fly to Dubai visit Oman then, cruise from Dubai to Singapore
stopping in India and Sri Lanka and catch the Orion cruise to see the orangutans
at Camp Leakey in Borneo - (Singapore to
Bali) have a few days in Bali before flying back to Sydney.
I want to be over sea for Christmas 2013, it is a good time for
India, but Bali will do both place are crowed at this time.
I want to develop new and
interesting friendships.
What do I want do I
want to achieve ?
I want to
clear out my unit, so as I can have friends over to my place.
What do I want do I want to bring into my life ?
What do I want do I want to enjoy this year ?
What do I want do I want to work on this year ?
What do I want
?
A new smartphone, a tablet of some
kind, & the skill to know how to use them both.
What is my motto for 2013 ?

Catch up
I've been very lax and neglectful of my Blog for months now, but as life started to accelerate towards Christmas I had better things to do. . . .
There are some occurrence in December that deserve a mention:
Anish Kapoor Exhibition at MCA was great, very engaging for the viewer, he plays with your optical perception & spatiality which was disturbing for me as I lost my balance if I ventured too close the instillations, but equally fascinating and intriguing and very clever.
I loved the S & C Curve where this phenomena was most apparent for me. Sky Mirror.
Francis Bacon Exhibition @ AGNSW Great the painting at large, the 2 iconic documentaries, offer fascinating insights to his work.
Lunch at Frechy's with Maggie & Madeline it was nice, Madeline has a new wheelchair.
Dear Fred Tulluck had stroke & is in an aged care facility near his daughter Pim.

Christmas party at Mezzaluna Restaurant with Marie-Aude
Lunch with aunty Kathy & Nancy at Doyls @ the Quay.
Lovely afternoon tea at Julies place as always.
Found a wonderful Osteopath, Valerie @ Bondi Junction.
Kisten Birthday Lunch at Bar Reggio, it is always good, but I have to leave after 3 hours.
Saw 'The Sessions" with Lee and had luncgh at MCA 4th floor.

Francis Bacon used the format of the triptych throughout his
career. The figure in this painting is his lover John
Edwards.
"My painting is a
representation of life, my own life above all, which has been very difficult.
So perhaps my painting is very violent, but this is natural to me."

| 'The Sessions" I found The Sessions disappointing and predictable, although it received very good reviews, the performances were very good, the humour expected and stale, it told the punch line. in the setting up of the joke. Like an naïve adolescence telling a very old joke to even older audience. I was embarrassed it was so lame. |
